Privacy Policy for Padel Up
Last updated: October 6, 2026
Padel Up respects your privacy. This policy explains what data the Padel Up app for iPhone and Apple Watch uses, why it uses it, and how you can control that data.
1. Data Padel Up Uses
Padel Up may access or process the following categories of data, depending on the permissions you grant in iOS, watchOS, or iCloud:
- Health and fitness data: workouts, heart rate, active calories, distance, steps, duration, heart rate zones, resting heart rate, heart rate variability, sleep, and data related to recovery or performance.
- Workout data: session type, date, duration, sports metrics, estimated effort, training load, training focus, motion metrics, and derived technical data.
- Precise location during a session: used to check weather conditions and save environmental context, such as temperature, humidity, and pressure. You can record sessions without sharing location.
- Player profile: first name, last name, nickname, avatar, avatar color, dominant hand, Apple Watch settings, app language, and optional profile photo.
- Internal identifiers: an installation identifier, a referral-system user identifier, referral codes, access tokens, and dates associated with promotions or Premium benefits.
- Purchase and subscription data: Premium access status, expiration dates, and purchased products, managed through Apple StoreKit.
- Operational diagnostics: technical events needed to understand permission issues, synchronization, session persistence, weather, connectivity, subscriptions, and general app reliability.
2. How We Use Data
We use this data to:
- Record padel sessions from Apple Watch.
- Save sessions to Apple Health when applicable.
- Show statistics, trends, performance analysis, and recovery insights.
- Calculate sports and training metrics.
- Enrich sessions with weather context.
- Sync preferences and profile information between devices using iCloud.
- Manage purchases, subscriptions, Premium access, promotions, and referrals.
- Detect technical issues and improve app reliability.
- Prevent abuse of promotions and referral features.
3. HealthKit and Apple Health
Padel Up requests access to HealthKit only for features related to training, performance, and recovery. Health data read from Apple Health is used to display information inside the app and calculate sports metrics.
Padel Up does not sell health data, does not use it for advertising, and does not share it with data brokers. You can change or revoke Health permissions at any time in the Health app or iOS Settings.
4. Location and Weather
Padel Up may use your precise location during a session to obtain weather data. Your location may be sent to Apple WeatherKit and, if WeatherKit does not return data, to Open-Meteo as a fallback weather provider.
Location is used to enrich the sports record of the session. We do not use your location for advertising or tracking.
5. iCloud and Player Profile
If iCloud is available, Padel Up may store your player profile in the private CloudKit database associated with your Apple account. This may include your first name, last name, nickname, avatar, preferences, language, and optional profile photo.
This data is stored in your private iCloud database and is used to sync your experience between devices.
6. Referrals, Promotions, and Premium
Padel Up uses its own server to manage referrals, promotions, and Premium benefits. For this purpose, it may send and store:
- Internal user identifier.
- Hashed installation identifier.
- Your own referral code or a referral code you enter.
- Promotion or Premium benefit dates.
- Sessions eligible for referrals or internal analytics, including session identifier, start date, duration, and source.
We do not send full heart rate curves, raw sensor samples, or precise location to our own server for the referral system.
Purchases and subscriptions are processed through Apple StoreKit. Padel Up does not receive or store credit card information.
7. Tracking and Advertising
Padel Up does not use App Tracking Transparency, does not access the IDFA, does not show behavioral advertising, and does not track your activity across apps or websites owned by other companies.
8. Sharing With Third Parties

Data stored locally remains on your device until you delete it, uninstall the app, or delete the corresponding data from Apple Health or iCloud.
Referral and Premium system data is retained as long as needed to operate benefits, prevent abuse, meet technical obligations, or resolve incidents.
